Wanjiru started singing at a young age in her local church, and her passion for music grew over the years. She attended the St. Mary’s Girls High School in Nyeri and later pursued a degree in Education at Kenyatta University. In 2009, she released her debut album, "Mungu Mkuu," which featured hit songs such as "Nikufahamu," "Mikono Juu," and "Tulia." The album received critical acclaim and established Wanjiru as a rising star in the gospel music scene in Kenya. Over the years, Wanjiru has released several other albums, including "Waweza," "Hossana," and "Vicky Kitonga & Evelyn Wanjiru Live Worship Experience." She has also collaborated with other gospel artists such as Mercy Masika, Alice Kimanzi, and Adawnage Band. Apart from her music career, Wanjiru is also a pastor at the Heart of Worship church in Nairobi, Kenya.
